Suji leaves grow scattered from India, Burma (Myanmar), Indochina, southern China, Thailand, Java, the Philippines, Sulawesi, Maluku, New Guinea and northern Australia. Suji leaves thrive to an altitude of 1000 m above sea level, and like mountainous areas or near watercourses (wells, small rivers).
